The Mission of Soldiers’ Angels

Soldiers’ Angels is a 501(c)3 non-profit working to provide aid, comfort and resources to the military, Veterans, and their families. Their vision is to ensure that active duty members of the military, wounded military, Veterans, and their families have access to the community resources and support that they need. All of this work is guided by the values of compassion, dedication, effectiveness, efficiency, collaboration, credibility, and responsiveness.

According to Soldiers’ Angels, “The choice to serve is one of sacrifice. Military service means complete commitment to something larger than oneself, selflessly bearing the responsibility for the security of everything we hold dear in the United States. Soldiers’ Angels’ purpose is to honor that.”

The Soldiers’ Angels Prayer
May no soldier go unloved
May no soldier walk alone
May no soldier be forgotten
Until they all come home™

A Support Network of Volunteers

Soldiers’ Angels maintains a global network of volunteers representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 31 countries abroad. Volunteers are the heart of the organization, and they work to ensure that those who serve—past or present—are supported, uplifted, and remembered through a variety of support programs.

How Soldiers’ Angels Helps

As a Military- and Veteran-focused non-profit, Soldiers’ Angels understands the unique challenges faced by deployed service members, wounded heroes, Veterans of all generations, and their families. They work diligently to honor that service and sacrifice by giving back in tangible ways.

Veterans

Soldiers’ Angels is honored to support Veterans of all generations, with a special focus on providing low-income, at-risk and homeless Veterans with much needed assistance.

Additionally, Soldiers’ Angels is one of the few organizations approved to work within the VA Health system. They maintain a presence in VA hospitals across the country, where volunteers provide comfort and resources to hospitalized Veterans.

Families

Soldiers’ Angels offers a variety of programs that support families of deployed service members, expectant spouses, caregivers and more. Each year, the Soldiers’ Angels Adopt a Family Holiday Program provides military and Veteran families in need with holiday gifts for the children, plus a grocery gift card for the household.

Wounded

In Landstuhl, Germany, Soldiers’ Angels maintains an active group of volunteers who stand ready to support those wounded in combat and other hospitalized military personnel who are being treated at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. They also provide adaptive technology to wounded heroes who require specialized software to accommodate their specific needs.

Food Assistance

Each month, Soldiers’ Angels provides food assistance to low-income, at-risk, and homeless Veterans in six cities across the country. Current locations include Atlanta, Charleston, Denver, Detroit, Orlando, and San Antonio. Each registered family receives approximately 75 pounds of quality meat, produce and non-perishable foods, which is enough to feed a family of four for up to two weeks.

Ways to Support Soldiers’ Angels

Soldiers’ Angels volunteers work virtually and in person to carry out the mission and ensure no soldier goes unloved. Opportunities range from writing letters and sending care packages to making or collecting needed items, assisting with food distribution, or visiting Veteran patients in the VA hospital.

Impact

As of 2021, Soldiers’ Angels:

  • Supported more than 982,141 Active Duty, Veterans and family members
  • Provided food assistance to more than 40,300 Veterans across the country
  • Gave more than 250,605 comfort items to Veterans in VA Hospitals
